OIL INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS
Nationwide Training Services Limited has training partnerships with manufacturers in the oil industry from burner and oil manufacturers through to tank and vaporising manufacturers. With these partnerships the company is able to both give the most up to date training on the latest equipment around the country and also a mobile training unit gives training to operatives on site. All oil courses including the OFTEC 50 course for inexperienced operatives are available.

WELL EQUIPPED GAS TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT AREAS
Nationwide Training Services Limited has well-equipped gas training and assessment areas for Domestic, LPG, Commercial and courses such as CoDNESP and CMA 1,2 the limited scope courses. To keep up with the demands of training in the gas industry the centre, now offers the Gas re-assessment for operatives holding ACS qualification requiring re-assessment at price of £395 plus certification and VAT for CCN1 + 4 appliances. This course is much shorter than the original ACS assessment and could be completed in a weekend for the busy engineer.

Nationwide Training Services Limited's centre is an Institute of Domestic Heating Engineers approved training centre and can provide the institute courses such as unvented hot water under-floor heating and solar heating with its well equipped unvented practical training room.

OFTEC tests and approves oil-firing equipment and controls a register of competent operatives. Under Building Regulations and Technical Document L1, it is a requirement in England and Wakes to have all new and replacement installations, tanks etc approved by planning the manufactures may not apply a guarantee if the installation is not installed by a competent operative.

Self-certification by the competent person negates the need to apply to planning for approval and does meet the manufacturer's requirements. OFTEC is the recognised body for the oil industry.

All the courses and assessments offered by Nationwide Training Services Limited are accredited and recognised by the Gas Industry. Whist training is not mandatory; an operative may require a refresher course or more in-depth knowledge to prepare themselves for assessment.

A core assessment (CCN1- natural gas or CCLP 1 - LPG) must be taken prior to any specific appliance assessments. Previous ACOP or ACS qualifications, are a prerequisite for taking any gas courses (with the exception of cat 3 and S/NVQ/ City and Guilds courses).
