CONSTRUCTION SECTOR - For the construction sector, we provide the whole range of cabling solutions for all needs. Whether it is for an office block, a hospital, school or a residential application, we have the products and accessories to meet your requirements.

For simple installations to BS 5839-1 (02), we have Firetec Standard, while for more demanding or complex situations we would recommend Firetec Enhanced. For the ultimate in fire performance, AEI's Mineral Insulated Cable (MIC) exceeds requirements to BS5839-1 (02). Even after exposure to fire, MIC will continue to operate and enable data transmission.

DEFENCE - The most recent additions to our wide range of specialist cables for the marine market include cables manufactured to the exacting standards of the Ministry of Defence.

We are supplying cabling for the new Type 45 Anti Air Warfare Destroyer programme for the Royal Navy. An extensive range of cables for the programme to prime contractor BAE Systems includes control cables, weapons cables and medium voltage propulsion cables as the main source of power.

FIRE PROTECTION - When it comes to fire performance, AEI Cables is unrivalled in its choice and quality. Our Total Solution package offers everything you may need, from the simple to the sophisticated.

For simple installations to BS 5839-1 (02), we have Firetec Standard, while for more demanding or complex situations we would recommend Firetec Enhanced. MINING AND QUARRIES - AEI Cables offer a complete range of elastomeric trailing and power distribution cables for mines and quarries worldwide.

Investment in new plant and equipment ensures our ability to manufacture high quality products including power distribution cables, flexible trailing cables, flexible auxiliary cables as well as other specialist mining cables designed and produced to your requirements.

OIL AND GAS - Recent technology has been applied to the design of Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) types complying with the most rigorous safety standards, and many of our products are manufactured to the exacting Naval Engineering Standards of the British Ministry of Defence.

AEI's production capability includes cable manufactured with both stranded or flexible conductors, insulated in either standard or low smoke, fire resistant grades of rubbers to comply with BS6883, Naval Engineering Standards, UK Defence Standards and NEK 606 types.

POWER - For power distribution systems, we offer a comprehensive range of Power Cables. The following are available.

• XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed armoured cables (600/1000V) to BS5467.

• XLPE insulated, LSZH sheathed armoured cables (600/1000V) to BS6724.

• XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed power cables (19000/33000V) to BS6622 and IEC502.

• Aerial budled conductors (ABC).

• Hard drawn copper stranded overhead conductors.

Higher voltage BS6622 power cables are also supplied with the backing of the renowned BSI kitemark.

RAIL - Our specialist range of cables for the rail and metro system sector provides for all your needs, whether it is Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) rolling stock and equipment or London Underground rolling stock and equipment cable with zero halogen construction.

We design and manufacture London Underground track feeder cable 935mm˛, with a zero halogen construction to their own specification.

A super-flexible cable is availale used as inter-carriage jumper connectors along with a range of 25KV super-flexible pantograph inter-connector cable.
