4x4 Driver Training & Survival Skills Courses From Protec Training
|
All of our 4x4 courses now include an on-road session which highlights the differences between 4x4s and cars on the road and makes drivers aware of the limitations of the 4x4, understanding the unique characteristics of these vehicles. We are the only 4x4 training organisation which offers this as a standard part of 4x4 training courses. 4x4 courses with Protec are
generic and cover all types of 4x4 makes and systems and the practical
training can be carried out in our vehicles or your own. Every course
also has a session on practical recovery techniques. All our 4x4 training courses carry LANTRA Awards certification. This is the Health & Safety Executive recommended level of training for professional operators. ![]() 2-DAY PROFESSIONAL USER COURSE - (LANTRA Awards Professional User Certificate)
Almost the whole day is spent in the vehicle and the terrain becomes much more demanding. In addition, practical recovery will be conducted using a variety of techniques in real situations. This is the recommended course for all those who will operate on severe ground, overseas or in other potentially demanding environments. It is particularly suitable for emergency services, telecomms and power system maintainers and all operators who may be called upon to perform in severe conditions. Training can also be tailored to specific requirements. click here to request further information about our 4x4 driver training courses
As well as learning to drive a 4x4, you will learn about the priorities of staying alive in the wilderness and how to source food and water in hostile conditions. INTERNATIONAL

This
Health & Safety Executive approved course covers all of the material covered in
the one-day course but provides much more depth of knowledge and much more
driving experience - particularly on difficult ground.
Our
expedition preparation course is an all-round experience for those wanting to be
fully prepared for travel or simply if you fancy a weekend away doing something
a little different! A busy three days of 4x4 training, first-aid skills and the
principles of survival are put into practice and will teach you as much about
yourself as about the skills themselves.
