28 - 29 October 2008 - Marble Arch, London
Meeting tomorrow’s threats with emerging air munitions capabilities and
technologies
Welcome to the Annual event for the Air Weapons Community
Air-Launched Weapons, both air-to-air and air-to-ground, remain one of the
most vital elements of modern warfare. Defence Forces are asking: how will
today's weapons technology measure up to future threats? And at the highest
level, with defence budgets tightening across the board, how can tomorrow's
systems deliver the same capability for less?
IQPC recommends: "Tactical Missle Design"
Pre-conference master class: Monday 27th October, 2008, 9am-5pm.
Led by Eugene L. Fleeman, this one day master class, presents the key elements
of tactical missile conceptual design, including:
-
Key drivers in the missile design process;
-
Critical tradeoffs, methods and technologies in subsystems, aerodynamic,
propulsion and structure sizing;
-
Launch platform-missile integration;
-
Robustness, lethality, accuracy, observables, survivability, reliability and
cost considerations;
-
Missile development process.
Air Launched Weapons 2008 will feature updates on leading programmes and
requirements including:
