Mike Bryant is an experienced writer and editor on both military and international security issues. He has worked at Jane's Information Group for over ten years, editing and managing both the Sentinel threat and security product range and then acting as Managing Editor of the Jane's land portfolio. 


In the latter role he was responsible for all the Jane's ground forces military titles, as well as its civilian land transport and police books. In addition to editing other products including Jane's World Insurgency and Terrorism and Jane's Pointer, he has also established wholly new product, such as the Jane's Balkans Handbook.

Now acting as a freelance writer and consultant, he has contributed to numerous military and intelligence-related titles.

Prior to his time at Jane's, Mike Bryant worked within a busy operational department at the Ministry of Defence and had served with the Territorial Army. He gained a degree in Politics from the University of York.
