Dudley Associates Ltd was created in 1995 as a 'one-stop-shop' to specifically operate in the niche area of rapid high grade aluminium tool manufacture, quality inspection and low volume injection moulding.



Our Clients require greatly reduced lead-times, cost effective tooling options, quality technical moulding and design services as well as the flexibility for modification and urgent sampling that can only be provided by a firm established and equipped to operate in this niche area of business. 

We can offer you:

Prototype and Development  -  A service used by Clients often requiring technical components on very short lead-times that are indistinguishable from production components. Used for environmental testing and development prior to initial production build.. Components for environmental and functionality testing in production materials and which are more representative than parts made by other prototyping processes.

Low volume production parts  -  A service used by Clients whose requirement can be met from high grade aluminium tooling with the associated savings in cost and lead-time. Typical life of 50,000 shots before refurbishment.

Where conventional tool costs cannot be justified aluminium tooling can be capable of supporting production volumes of anything up to 50,000 parts.
 

Fast entry to market place  -  We can help you reduce the highly critical lead-time between design concept and the reality of components reaching market or approval.

Lower Costs  -  Typically traditional steel tools are 50% more expensive than our equivalent aluminium tooling and lead times are longer.

INJECTION MOULDING - COMPONENTS ON SHORT LEAD TIMES

We have invested in the latest plant and equipment to ensure control and repeatability for technical injection moulding.

Modern digitally controlled machines from 22 tonne to 275 tonne are dedicated to sampling and low-volume runs of just one off to several hundred thousand parts.


We maintain scheduling flexibility and can undertake multiple tool changes per machine per day to ensure low volume runs, modifications and urgent trials can be implemented and sampled with immediate response.

Our high grade aluminium tooling allows prototype components to be moulded or overmoulded in the production polymer. We have vast experience of moulding in all GF Nylons, PBT, PTFE, lubricated Acetals, Statkon, Peek, Amodel, Ultem, PCB, PET, and custom or developmental polymers such as RTP and electroconductive polymers.

The Company enjoys close co-operation and technical support from the major polymer suppliers and benefits from prioritised service.

FACILITIES

Dudley Associates has made substantial investments in the very latest tool room equipment and moulding machines as well as CAD/CAM software and hardware.

We have a dedicated Management Team with many years of practiced experience in tooling, technical moulding, design, IT, and Quality Management Systems.

The Company offers design, tooling, moulding and inspection facilities from one site which has been set up to operate in this niche area of prototype/development and pre-production services.
