The waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directive affects all those involved in the manufacturing, selling and distributing, recycling or treating electrical and electronic equipment.

The aim of the WEEE directive is to reduce the waste from electrical and electronic equipment from entering landfills with the result of improving the environment. Rade (UK) Ltd has been established to provide a cost effective service to aid the recycling and recovery of electronic products in accordance with the WEEE directive.

Rade (UK) Ltd focus primarily on the disassembly of CRT (cathode ray tube) containing products such as televisions and PC monitors, but handles all categories of WEEE waste.

The primary function of Rade (UK) Ltd is on the disassembly of CRT containing products – televisions and PC monitors.  However all categories identified through the WEEE directive will be considered. These include the following:

  • Household appliances

  • IT and telecommunication equipment

  • Audiovisual and lighting equipment

  • Electrical and electronic tools

  • Toys, leisure and sports equipment

  • Medical devices

  • Automatic dispensers

The disassembly process is carried out using experienced and skilled staff who are knowledgeable of the structure and manufacturing processes of consumer electronic, including CRT containing products.
