Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelters (DRASH®) from MilSys (UK) Ltd


Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelters (DRASH) is a family of quick erect/strike tactical soft walled shelters with integrated support systems. DRASH is a modular shelter system that is man portable, rugged, reliable and user friendly.

Applications include, but are not limited to; Headquarter Complexes, Command Posts, Tactical Operations Centres, Communications Nodes, Regimental Aid Stations, Forward Surgical Facilities, Critical Care Stations, Rapid Effect Hospitals, Maintenance Facilities and other related combat support activities.

Individual model shelters range in footprints from 100 ft² (9.3 m²) up to 1200 ft² (112 m²). DRASH is easily configured for multi-shelter complexes and vehicle booting. All DRASH shelters, flooring and ground covers are manufactured from lightweight, specially coated polyester and nylon fabrics which meet or exceed milspec fabric standards.

INTEGRATED SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Integrated Support Systems include nine different models of trailer each with multiple power generation and environmental control units. Lighting, heating, power distribution and complete logistical support are also available. All DRASH trailers and support equipment have been tested and approved for military use.





S SERIES DRASH SHELTER

S Series DRASH Shelter from MilSys (UK) Ltd

The S Series are lightweight, man-portable, rugged, reliable and user friendly shelters.

Using as few as four people, all shelters in this series can go from transport bag to mission ready within minutes. Each S Series shelter includes ground cover, floor, push poles and repair kit. A Steel Pin Stake Set is also included with each shelter (two sets for Model 6) but packed separately. 




XB SERIES DRASH SHELTER

 

XB Series DRASH Shelter from MilSys (UK) Ltd

The XB Series are lightweight, man-portable, rugged, reliable and user friendly shelters. Using as few as four people, all shelters in this series can go from transport bag to mission ready within minutes.

Each XB Series shelter includes ground cover, floor, one vestibule curtain, push poles and repair kit. A Steel Pin Stake Set is also included with each shelter (two sets for Model 6) but packed separately.

All DRASH Shelters are operable in weather extremes from -40°C to 58°C.



DRASH SAS (SATELLITE ANTENNA SHELTER) SERIES

DRASH SAS (Satellite Antenna Shelter) from MilSys (UK) Ltd

The DRASH SAS (Satellite Antenna Shelter) provides camouflage and protection for deployed transportable satellite communications antennas up to eight feet in diameter. The SAS has an interior height of 13.5 feet and an interior floor space of 143 ft². The SAS is easily deployed from transport bag to mission ready within minutes.




J SERIES DRASH SHELTER

The J Shelter weighs 1,600 pounds and reduces down to a packed volume of 300 cubic feet or 53"x 56"x 94". The J Shelter comes in two system packages.

One is a manually operated hydraulic container that fits on a 463L Pallet. The other is a trailer. The J Trailer is towable by a 2¼ ton truck, Bedford or Leyland DAF. Deployment time of the J Shelter from when the shelter leaves the trailer bed to full set up is under 30 minutes. This is achieved by the assistance of a low-pressure air blower and bladder that comes with the J System. A 5kW (optional 20kW) generator which powers the air blower is also part of the J Shelter System.




M SERIES DRASH SHELTER

 

The M Series shelter is a lightweight, man-portable, rugged, reliable and user friendly shelter. The shelter comes in four components: Two centre M Sections and two end M Caps. (End caps are two M1XBTJs.)

Each M Series shelter includes ground cover, floor, push poles and repair kit. Two Steel Pin Stake Sets are also included with each shelter but packed separately. The M Series shelter is a versatile shelter system and can be used as a Headquarters Complex, Hospital Ward, Treatment Facility, or indeed, as a workshop for fleet vehicles.

All DRASH Shelters are operable in weather extremes from -40°C to 50°C.
