VT Halmatic, the UK’s leading builder of small craft and
workboats, has finalised an agreement with US-based Brunswick
Commercial & Government Products (BCGP) that will see the pair
market each other’s wide range of products and services throughout
the world.
For VT Halmatic, the agreement will provide a valuable entry into
the US market, with Brunswick marketing the UK company’s full
product range of military, paramilitary and commercial craft.
Brunswick, which previously built up to 36 feet in length, will
expand its scope of supply by offering Halmatic designs which
extend upwards to 120 feet in length.
The companies will now market a family of craft from 13 feet to
120 feet in length, and related parts and accessories for civil
and military agencies as well as after-sales technical support.
Graham Foord, head of VT Halmatic North American Operations, said:
“For VTH this was an opportunity to partner with a respected
manufacturer that knows the North American market. We believe
through such cooperation both companies will attract new customers
and become more valuable to our current customer base. We will
offer and sell whatever product from our combined ranges best
serves the customer.”
Eric Caplan, BCGP director and business manager, added: “This
allows us to now offer a wider range of products and services. For
example, previously 36’ was the longest boat we could offer our
customers. We can now meet their needs up to 120’, along with
expanded after-market technical support. We believe VTH’s presence
in various global markets will also open new doors.”
