offer intensive courses in tiling, plumbing and plastering. You
will work under the supervision of trainers who have many years
experience in their chosen trade within the building industry.
PLASTERING COURSE FROM BUILDERS TRAINING NORTHEAST
A course that is suitable for
anyone, no previous experience is required.
The course will teach you how to:
- Prepare walls and ceilings to
receive plaster & plasterboards.
- Cut and fix plasterboard to
walls and ceilings
- Apply bonding and sand &
cement as backing coats
- Fix angle beads round windows
and corners
- Apply finishing plaster to
backing coats, plasterboards etc
- Skimming to a high
professional finish
- Re-plaster, patch & repair
existing walls
- Cut and fix coving
- Plaster over Artex
You will work in a bay with an
opening and window and will plaster over plasterboard and
rendered walls. At the end of the course you will have a good basic
knowledge of
plastering methods and techniques, enabling you to approach any
job with confidence.
PLUMBING COURSE FROM BUILDERS
TRAINING NORTHEAST
Similar to the Tiling &
Plastering courses this course is suitable for beginners, no
experience is necessary.
The course covers the following practical skills:
- Materials tools &
equipment
- Basic understanding of hot
& cold water systems
- Pipe-work & fittings
- Installing a bathroom suite
and shower
- Fitting, draining and moving
radiators
- Fitting & repairing taps
- Installing washing machines,
dishwashers and garden taps
- Basic understanding of heating
systems
You will work in your own area,
at your own speed, under the supervision of a trainer. You will
be able to fit baths, sinks, toilets and showers to a professional level.
At the end of the course you will have a good basic knowledge of
a wide variety of plumbing methods and techniques.
TILING COURSE FROM BUILDERS
TRAINING NORTHEAST
This course is suitable for
anyone, it does not matter that you have little or no
experience.
The course covers the following practical skills:
- Materials, tools &
equipment
- Marking out and starting the
job
- Basic tiling
- Precision tiling
- Achieving a professional
finish
- Using silicon and sealants
- Floor tiling
- Pricing the job
You will work in a bay which is
equipped with a bath, hand basin and toilet, allowing you to
practice in a realistic environment. At the end of the course you will have a good basic knowledge of
tiling methods and techniques.
