Survey Vessel (SVHO)
 The Integrated Project Team (IPT) are
procuring two new multi-role survey vessels for the Royal Navy which
have been named HMS ECHO and HMS ENTERPRISE.
The contract with Vosper
Thornycroft is worth £130M and includes through life Contractor
Logistic Support. With their improved sea keeping and latest surveying
equipment these ships will greatly enhance the RN surveying
capability.
HMS ECHO was accepted off contract in October 02 and will
enter service in April 03. HMS ENTERPRISE was due to enter service
September 03.
