Two of these craft (Raider and Tracker) act as the Faslane Patrol Boat Squadron Squadron. The remaining 14 are employed as University Naval Units (URNU) for training. The Gibraltar Squadron has 2 x 16m Patrol Craft (Scimitar and Sabre).

Note: Numbers of surface ships and submarines worked up and fully operational can vary greatly, due to refit, repair or other problems. The Royal Navy has very high standards of both operational efficiency and safety. The Fleet is worked hard.
