Racal Antennas has almost 50
years presence in the design and manufacture of military antennas in the HF,
VHF and UHF frequency bands and specialises in antennas for the
ground tactical arena for combat net radio and wide area system applications.
The product range covers antennas for manpack radios, vehicle mounted antennas
or remote antennas designed to extend the range of the radio system. Sectional
and Telescopic masts are available in either pneumatic or mechanical crank-up
versions from 4 metres up to 50 metres with numerous headload configurations.
The Racal product range, now part of Chelton Ltd, has been designed and manufactured using the latest
materials and manufacturing techniques. All have exceptional electrical
performance and are fully ruggedised to meet the demanding environments in which
they will operate.

PORTABLE ANTENNAS

Manpack /
portable antennas for the military user covering HF/VHF/UHF
and wideband frequencies. All products have been developed
after consultation with military users and radio
manufacturers. Racal Antennas can offer a wide range of
folding whips, tapes and helical antennas with options
including flexible assemblies (goosenecks), spring bases and
GPS units.

Racal Antennas has an extensive range of elevated
directional and omnidirectional antennas, tactical wire kits
and HF loop antennas covering the HF, VHF and UHF frequency
bands. They have recently developed a full range of antennas
for wide area systems (radio relay) type applications
covering bands 1, 3+ and 4. All have exceptional electrical
performance and are fully ruggedised to meet the demanding
environments in which they will operate.

MASTS

Sectional and telescopic support masts manufactured
using aluminium or composite materials. All masts have been
designed and manufactured to meet the demanding requirements
of mobile communications systems. Typical applications
include defence communications, emergency services, survey,
broadcast and temporary illumination. Sectional masts are
available up to heights of 7.2 metres.

Racal Antennas MVS Series products provide the most able
VSAT communications solution in the industry. The MVS Series
allows non-skilled personnel to operate mobile Very Small
Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite communications equipment
enabling the user to access any broadband application over
satellite.

All products are
designed with the quality and environmental requirements suitable
for today's military to carry out their operational commitments
and will operate efficiently in all extremes of environmental
conditions.
The company operates in the
1.6Mhz-5.4Ghz frequency bands with band specific products suited for HF, VHF and
UHF or wideband products across all applications, in addition to products for
wide area systems (line of sight antennas), and WLAN applications. The products
can be field mounted on top of the company’s extensive range of telescopic masts
up to heights of 50 metres.
