AvdelŽ fasteners are predominantly "blind fasteners". This means access is needed from only one side of the workpiece when they are installed. They provide a quick and simple, mechanical fastening alternative to welding, clinching, adhesion, nuts, bolts, washers and self-tapping screws.

AvdelŽ blind fasteners are a single piece assembly which are located on a tool prior to installation. When placed the fastener deforms on the "blind" or rear side of the material clamping two or more sheets together to provide a secure joint.

Designed for a rapid rate of installation, with typical assembly cycles of under 3 seconds, AvdelŽ blind fasteners can be installed by one operator with a wide range of tools to suit the production environment. These include hand tools (manual, pneumatic, hydro-pneumatic) semi-automated and fully automated assembly cells. The fasteners and tools combine to provide a blind fastening system suitable for numerous assembly applications in manufacturing, maintenance and repair work.
