COBHAM ANTENNA SYSTEMS, MICROWAVE ANTENNAS

European Antennas Ltd is now trading as Cobham Antenna Systems, Microwave Antennas.

Same company, same technology, same people, same location.

Based in the UK, Cobham Antenna Systems, Microwave Antennas design, develop and manufacture antennas within 250MHz and 40GHz, for surveillance, security, military, satellite and commercial markets. Designs include directional, sector, omni, blade, helix and ultra wideband antennas..

Applications include COFDM, UWB, EW, WLAN, WiFi, RFID, WiMAX, Telemetry, Link16, RFID, TETRA, PMR, Data and Cellular Communication Systems.

There more than 1500 antenna designs available that may be customised to meet individual requirements. All antennas are tested throughout design and manufacture to meet quoted specification.

Antenna development projects are undertaken. Modelling software supports development projects to predict performance of antennas at an early stage. Antenna prototypes are tested in our on-site anechoic test chamber to ensure specification compliance.

C-BAND ANTENNAS

C-Band Antennas – Directional, Sector and Omni – are manufactured for defence and security, high data rate point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications.

Dual polar and high gain directional and sector antennas are available for diversity applications.

ULTRA WIDEBAND ANTENNAS

High specification Ultra Wideband (UWB) Antennas for Electronic Warfare (EW) developed and manufactured in Britain. These antennas can be used for ground-based and airborne systems, ECM-IED, ESM and DF, for jamming, high-speed data links, target drones, communication in tunnels, and spectrum monitoring. Frequency ranges include 0.5 to 3GHz, 1 to 4GHz, 2 to 18GHz and other variables.

ANTENNAS – UAS, UAV, UGV AND GROUND CONTROL

Used for command and control, telemetry, surveillance, data and video transmission, there are many standard antennas mounted on UAVs that were originally designed for harsh environments such as Grand Prix and rally car racing.

Aerodynamic blade antennas with directional or omni-directional patterns with high gain, vertical or circular polarisation specifications have been used for UAV and helicopter applications.

Boeing X-48B prototype features blade antennas for telemetry.

TACTICAL COMMUNICATIONS - LINK16

Extended performance omni antenna for Link16 ground-based applications (JTRS, MIDS, JTIDS).

Designed for Link16, this extended performance omni antenna can be incorporated in to MIDS (Multifunctional Information Distribution System), JTRS (Joint Tactical Radio System) and JTIDS (Joint Tactical Information Distribution System) for high data rate transmission.

With 7dBi gain, nearly double the range of a system that is constrained by output power.

Antenna Reference: XVO7-960-1215/1120
NATO Stock Number: 5985-99-758-6585

DAS ANTENNAS

DAS antennas are a range of antennas for In-Building Wireless communications for improved call connection services, from PMR, TETRA, Wireless LAN or cellular (3G, 4G and Beyond).

Cellular DAS (Distributed Antenna System) combined with In-Building communication enhancement systems are used to extend the signal in areas where RF penetration from standard external base stations cannot reach their mobile systems (phones and computers), such as in areas below ground level, or deep inside buildings
