Founded in 1922 by Basil Dixon-Bate in Chester, U.K. as a general engineering Company, Dixon-Bate grew in a short space of time to become one of the leading manufacturers in the U.K. of Towing Equipment and accessories and was one of the first Companies to design and manufacture Towing Brackets specific for each car model.

In addition to towbars, Dixon-Bate turned its hand to a range of related products such as recovery and floor cranes, caravan levellers & stabilisers and goods trailers under the DB Trade name on which they manufactured virtually every single part and earned an enviable reputation for quality and performance.
