CYMBELINE MORTAR LOCATING RADAR



 Cymbeline is a mortar locating radar, in service with the Close Support Artillery Regiments of 1 (UK) and 3 (UK) Divisions. Cymbeline detects the flight path of the mortar bomb at two points in its trajectory, as it passed through the radar beam. This allowed the Grid Reference of the enemy base plate to be identified and engaged with artillery
